Psychologist in Mallorca and Online – Emotional Support for Depression

You don’t need a generic manual. What makes therapy effective is a process tailored to you.

VICTOR GIRALDO – GENERAL HEALTH PSYCHOLOGIST AND MUSIC THERAPIST
Sometimes addressing what’s bothering you can feel like walking into a room full of clutter, where you don’t know where to start. There are thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, memories… and it all seems jumbled together and overwhelming.
My job as a psychologist is to help you put order in that inner room:

Help you identify what’s important, what can be reorganized, and what you may no longer need to carry. We do this together, at your own pace, so you can find more space, clarity, and calm in your life.

When you seek psychological help, you don’t need a generic manual. What really makes the difference is a process designed specifically for you: your mind, your emotions, and your unique history.

As a psychologist specializing in areas such as anxiety, stress, depression, grief, OCD, life crises, and tinnitus, I have developed a methodology that integrates the best of various therapeutic approaches, always with the goal of offering you what you need at every moment.

The essence of my approach is based on three fundamental principles, designed to ensure that the therapy is truly effective for you:

Fundamental Pillar
What does it consist of?
What does this mean for me?
1. Deep Understanding

We take the time to listen and understand your unique experience. We analyze how your difficulty manifests itself in your daily life, what maintains it, and what your strengths are.

You’ll feel truly understood. The therapeutic plan will be fully tailored to your reality, not a general theory.

2. Flexible Integration

We primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), enriching it with Mindfulness tools and, when it adds value, Music Therapy. We select the validated techniques that best suit you at each stage.

You will receive the most appropriate and effective interventions for your specific case, combining the best of different approaches in a coherent manner.

3. Practical Focus

We focus on generating tangible changes in your well-being. Each session aims to provide you with concrete skills and strategies that you can apply directly in your life.

Not only will you understand your problems, but you will actively learn how to manage them. Therapy will translate into real improvements that you will notice in your daily life.

On the use of music therapy

I want to be clear about this: music can be a fantastic ally in therapy. Sometimes, it reaches where words cannot, helps regulate intense emotions, unlocks emotional aspects, or supports neurological rehabilitation. However, it is not a central or mandatory element. I consider it a complementary tool, valuable in certain cases, but I will only propose it if I see it can offer you a specific benefit and if you feel comfortable with it. It is not something I always use nor with everyone; the foundation of our work is psychology.

The process we will follow together:

  • Detailed Assessment: We will begin with one or several sessions to get to know you well, thoroughly understand your situation, and together define what you want to achieve with therapy.
  • Personalized Plan: Based on the assessment, we will design a clear work plan with specific and achievable objectives. You will know where we are heading and how we will get there.
  • Work Sessions: Each session will be a step forward. We will apply the agreed-upon strategies, work on your difficulties, and enhance your resources.
  • Review and Adjustment: Periodically, we will evaluate the progress together, celebrate the advances, and adjust the plan if necessary to ensure it remains the right path for you.

My commitment is to offer you quality, humane, and effective therapy, always focused on your needs and helping you build a more fulfilling and satisfying life.

Cost per individual session: €80
10-session package: €700.

Have you felt alone in facing your challenges? Group therapy offers you the opportunity to connect with other people who are going through similar situations, share your experiences, and find mutual support. In a safe and confidential environment, you will be able to explore your difficulties, learn new tools, and develop skills to improve your well-being, guided by my experience as a psychologist and music therapist.

What my patients think about me

Therapy for anxiety and stress

Anxiety can manifest itself in many ways: that constant restlessness, a knot in your stomach, racing thoughts about the future, physical tension, or even avoiding situations that make you uncomfortable. It’s as if a part of you is always on guard. The goal is to learn to manage this response so you can live with greater calm and freedom.
How can we address it?

Therapy for OCD and perfectionism

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder involves intrusive thoughts that generate distress and repetitive behaviors (compulsions) that seek to relieve it, creating a cycle that is difficult to break. Perfectionism, on the other hand, can lead to procrastination or an exhausting self-demand (“If it’s not perfect, it’s not worth it”). We can work to reduce the impact of these patterns on your life so you can find greater balance.
Our strategy is based on:

Therapy for depression and discouragement

Depression goes beyond sadness. It is a persistent feeling of emptiness, lack of energy, loss of interest in things you once enjoyed, and often, very negative thoughts about yourself and the world. Although it may seem difficult right now, it is possible to rediscover motivation and meaning.

Therapy to support your neurological rehabilitation

After a brain injury (stroke, trauma) or with certain neurological conditions, difficulties may arise in areas such as language, memory, or executive functions. Adapting to these changes requires time, patience, and support. Brain neuroplasticity offers great potential for recovery and adaptation.
My contribution to your process:

Psychotherapy and music therapy focused on artists

As an artist or musician, I know your path has unique challenges: the pressure of performance or exposure, the constant pursuit of perfection, creative blocks, or managing the specific stress of your environment. My own deep experience in the world of music, combined with my training as a psychologist, gives me a special perspective to deeply understand these experiences.

I offer you a therapeutic space tailored to your needs, where we will work with effective psychological tools so you can manage stage anxiety, overcome blocks, handle self-criticism, and find a greater balance between your passion and your personal well-being.

Therapy to overcome life crises

Life is full of stages, and sometimes we find ourselves at crossroads: an unexpected job change, the end of an important relationship, the feeling of emptiness upon reaching a certain age (“what now?”), or simply feeling lost without really knowing why. These life crises, although uncomfortable and disorienting, are also unique opportunities to rethink things, get to know yourself better, and redirect your path towards what truly matters to you.
How can I help you navigate these moments?

Therapy to overcome grief or loss

Losing someone or something significant (a loved one, a relationship, a job, your health, a life project…) immerses us in a complex and painful process called grief. There is no “right” way to feel it: you may experience deep sadness, anger, confusion, guilt, relief… sometimes all at once. Grief is not about “getting over” or “forgetting,” but about learning to integrate that absence into your life and finding a way to move forward with meaning and connection.
My support in your grieving process:

Psychological support for Tinnitus and Acúfenos

That persistent sound in your ears can be very distressing and significantly affect your well-being. Although the sound itself often cannot be eliminated, it is entirely possible to learn to live with it in a way that it doesn’t dominate your attention or your mood.
Our approach focuses on:

Psychological support for Autism (ASD)

If you are on the autism spectrum, you may face specific challenges related to social interaction, sensory overload, or verbal communication. My goal is to offer you a space where you feel understood and respected, and where we can find strategies that fit your unique needs.
We will work on:

Therapy for interpersonal relationships

Our relationships with others (family, partner, friends, colleagues) are a vital source of well-being, but they can also be complex and cause distress. If you find it difficult to communicate effectively, set healthy boundaries, if you repeat patterns that hurt you, or feel disconnected in your relationships, we can work together. This is not a couples therapy space, but individual work focused on you: on how you understand, live, and relate to others.

We will explore your relational patterns, develop assertive communication skills, and I will help you build more balanced, conscious, and satisfying relationships in all areas of your life.
